Hi [~ashmeetlamba], I'm new contributer to Kafka as well, and was trying to
work on this ticket. I just got contributor access and I assigned myself to
this task. However, I just noticed that you have already submitted a PR for
this ticket. I also noticed that you have tried two other times to contribute
to the project. In order to become a contributer, [the guidelines
state|https://kafka.apache.org/contributing] that you must join the mailing
list {color:#222222}[email protected], then send an email and ask to be
added as a contributer by providing your Jira ID: ashmeetlamba. After that, you
