Found the issue -- we didn't correctly handle disconnects which would cause NPEs and force close the producer. Pushed the code to handle disconnects -- locally I did not see the issue after running 40 times (typically would see it in the first two runs before the fix) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
