Thank you for your comment and raising our attention on the KIP690, it is
indeed a possible and good solution.
However, we still think that it would be beneficial for the users to be able to
configure the heartbeat topic name with the DefaultReplicationPolicy in an
easy, no code way. If you agree, I would move forward with the KIP and the
implementation.
