This change wasn't really that valuable; the only information it added was already trivial and what one would expect to see (e.g., testing code that waited for a connector to be stopped once would report that it was still waiting for the connector to be stopped once--not exactly jaw-dropping insight). I've instead begun debugging our tests with full logs enabled on https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/15229, which has proven much more useful.
