The problem is, that you set `commit.interval.ms` config to `null`.

Checking the code on Github, we see that the `commit.interval.ms` config is
read.

That it is set to `null`, is shown in the log, when `StreamsConfig` is printed
out:
commit.interval.ms = null
This must be the problematic line in your code.

[:auto.commit.interval.ms])
Actually, `StreamsConfig` does check for valid input, if you create it via `new
SteamsConfig()` constructor that takes a `Properties` object. I am not a
Clojure person, but it seems that you construct `StreamsConfig` directly and
thus you skip over this check? In general, it is not even necessary to pass in
`StreamsConfig` but you can just pass in `Properties` object into
`KafkaStreams`.
