Matthias J. Sax commented on KAFKA-19409: ----------------------------------------- This ticket is meant as a placeholder fro 4.3.0, to check if RocksDB should be upgrade or not, so "Fixed Version 4.3.0" is correct. We historically did not upgrade RocksDB frequently enough, so we started to file tickets for each release pro-actively to not forget :) While we could also do another PR to upgrade RocksDB in 4.2.0 to an even newer version, I am not sure if that's strictly necessary. Personally, I believe upgrading RocksDB once per release should be sufficient. > Upgrade RocksDB dependency from 10.1.3 to something newer > --------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: KAFKA-19409 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-19409 > Project: Kafka > Issue Type: Task > Components: streams > Affects Versions: 4.2.0 > Reporter: Matthias J. Sax > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: 4.3.0 > > > We will upgrade RocksDB to 10.1.3 with 4.2 release. > We should evaluate if we can upgrade to a newer RocksDB version with 4.3. > When we close this ticket, we should also create a new BLOCKER ticket for a > future release as a reminder, so we ensure we upgrade RocksDB regularly. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010)
