In https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/19462, this issue was fixed by introducing a delay of 10 seconds in deleting the underlying index files. How frequent is this issue happening post the fix? Does the reader threads hold the indexEntry for more than 10 seconds? could you share the error stacktrace to understand the issue further?
