@seekskyworld -- thanks a lot for you PR. It seems your PR is a duplicate to https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/21335 -- The Jira ticket was/is assigned to Nikita, so I think we should review and merge Nikita's PR. We really appreciate your work, but we cannot merge two PRs for the same ticket. To avoid issues (or race conditions) like this in the future, please make sure to assign the Jira ticket to yourself first (if the ticket is not already assigned), before starting to work on a ticket. If the Jira ticket is already assigned but it seems to be stale (ie, nobody is actually working on it), just leave a comment on the Jira ticket and ask about the status. If there is no reply for a couple of days, you can also re-assign it to yourself and pick it up. Does this all make sense? If yes, we should close this PR. Thanks for you understanding.
