Thanks for running these @bbejeck! I looked into the 3 failures and they appear unrelated to this PR — that run was built from the old pre-rebase head, which still had the broken KAFKA-13499 restore optimization ([`f55073b570`](https://github.com/apache/kafka/commit/f55073b570ff80d8e3eaeabce48ec361b3cbf18f), reverted Apr 14, fixed reland in #22115). Trunk nightlies were failing the exact same 3 tests in that window ([2026-04-08 nightly](http://ducktape-open-source-results.confluent.io.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/confluent-open-source-kafka-system-test-results/?prefix=trunk/2026-04-08--002.f861bf20-6a60-46d3-bcb0-2d17a16b4d67--1775720062--confluentinc--master--5e8a922bf7)).
