Fixes KAFKA-21256. An `onTasksAssigned` failure can leave the consumer assignment different from `currentAssignment`. The next reconciliation throws and leaves the progress flag set, blocking further attempts even when a new target arrives. This change tracks partial progress through three fields: - `reconcilingAssignment`: captures the target being processed, independently of newer assignments received during reconciliation. - `appliedActiveTasks`: tracks active tasks already applied to the consumer, separately from the last successfully reconciled assignment. - `revokedTasksSinceApply`: tracks successful revocations since the last assignment application, preventing duplicate revocation during retries and leave. Applying an assignment clears this history. Reconciliation can now retry the same target or process a newer target using the actual consumer-applied state. synchronous failures clear the progress flag, and successful reconciliation clears pending revocation flags. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
