Update:
- I pushed a new commit with no functional changes: only
`gradle/wrapper/README.md` and the comments in `wrapper.gradle` are changed
(upgrade procedure is now easier to follow)
- a note about the solution: pinning a Gradle commit is a workaround, but it
was forced:
- Kafka keeps `gradle-wrapper.jar` out of git (in line with the ASF source
release policy) _**but**_
- Gradle doesn't publish the wrapper jar as a standalone download, and a
release tag doesn't always contain the released jar (gradle/gradle#39471)
- an official download location is requested in gradle/gradle#39487 and
there are a few related feature requests that would also solve this (listed in
https://github.com/gradle/gradle/issues/39487#issuecomment-6235125829)
- if/when Gradle implements one of these feature requests this PR solution
(with pinned commit) can be replaced with an official Gradle's approach
