#### Proposed Changes Allow a topic to be consumed as both a GlobalKTable and a regular KStream or KTable, including through the low-level Topology API. #### Types of Changes Improvement #### Verification Build a topology with a regular source and a global table reading the same topic. Verify that both processing paths receive updates, regular tasks consume assigned partitions, and every instance maintains the complete global table. #### Testing Added unit and integration tests covering shared-topic consumption, both registration orders, topology optimization, updates and tombstones, and state restoration. Existing duplicate-source restrictions are also verified. #### Linked Issues - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-6686 - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-20358 — resolved as a duplicate of KAFKA-6686. #### User-Facing Change A topic can now back both a GlobalKTable and a regular KStream or KTable without requiring a mirrored topic. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
