`OffsetMetadataManager.cleanupExpiredOffsets` records the size of the records list in the offset expiration sensor. The list is shared by all groups in `GroupCoordinatorShard.cleanupGroupMetadata` and also holds group tombstones, so the `offset-expiration-rate` and `offset-expiration-count` metrics also count the records added for the groups checked earlier in the same run.
