Unfortunately it won't let me assign you, I think you need to assign yourself
once an admin has done so.
A mix of both, plenty of work deadlines to contend with, and whilst working on
this issue it became clear to me that reconciling the differences between the
two utils classes required more Kafka internals knowledge than I had at the
time.
I believe also some of it was written in Scala (if memory serves correctly)
which complicated matters as I had no prior experience in the language.
