Closing this ticket in favor of KAFKA-5488 that is backed by KIP-418
([https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/KAFKA/KIP-418%3A+A+method-chaining+way+to+branch+KStream])
I understand that KIP-418 is not exactly the same as this proposal, but hope
that it actually addresses the root issue, too.
Feel free to start a new KIP is you think that KIP-418 is not sufficient.
