Category issue: creation a category with no title entered

I created a category without any title entered and open the category edit popup
, the title fields are empty but in end user guide it's mentioned if we don't
enter any category title, the category key will be used automatically as title.
Is this still the case? if yes why in category edit engine the key is not
displayed in title fileds?
