Sergiy Shyrkov commented on JAHIA-3270:
---------------------------------------
Yes, the link is present in the edit mode.
This was actually done for one important reason: if the container contains a
"dead" page field (no link, database insconsistency etc.), the user should be
able to delete this container in any case. If we will not display it, there
will be no possibility to delete it (no action menus, actually). Many customers
have asked about such "dead" navigation containers.
Yes, I agree, this could be seen not quite logical from the point of view of
the end-user, who is not familiar with Jahia content object model concept, but
not from the point of view of a content editor/administrator, who is familiar
with this model.
So, the behaviour, from my point of view :-), is correct. The user has rights
on the container, so she/he should see it and should be able to modify/delete
it. This has no effect in live mode in any case, so I see no inconsistency in
it.
What do you think about it?
Thank you!
Sergiy
> When breaking ACL on a page but not on its container, the link to the page on
> left menu in edit mode remains for this user.

> I remove the RWA right for my user John on the subpage (page 1-1 ) by using
> page properties of course but I didn't change its right on the page
> container, now in edit mode in left menu John still have a link "No title "
> (see attachment) , if I remove its right on the page container as well, John
> has nothing more in left menu neither but It doest not seem logic, if I
> remove a right for a user on a page, I'm logically waiting to have the same
> on its container automatically, Is such a improvement easily implementable
> in Jahia?
