There are some old documentation files still hanging about, unfortunately.
If you start at index.html and only follow links, then the documentation
shouldn't lead you astray.
Cookies are enabled by adding a cookie manager to the threadgroup. You can
read about it at
http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/user_manual/threadgroups.html
A looping controller is built into the threadgroup component, which allows
you to make a test run X times and then stop.
Alternatively, a looping controller can be added which will cause the test
to repeat a specific section of the test X times, each time through the
test.
You can read about it at
http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/user_manual/loop_controller.html
