OK, but I'm still confused. It sounds like you are saying that only two machines are involved: the client running the JMeter GUI (jmeter.bat) and the server running the JMeter Server (jmeter-server.bat). Is this correct? The current documentation describes this.
Instead of running jmeter-server.bat on the application server, could I run it on say five PC's. Each PC would send requests to the application server. I would run a single JMeter GUI client (jmeter.bat) to control each of the five PC's running the JMeter Server. Can I do this? If so, I would like to add this to the documentation. This scenario sounds a lot more useful to me since it scales to any number of PC's (or other machines) I can use to simulate users.
