start/stop test indication

------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-05-02 10:52 -------
The approach I'm taking in src_1 is similar to what Dmitri describes, but so far
has not touched any GUI functions. Most likely, the JMeter GUI itself will
become a TestListener, and will be able to react in any desired manner to test
start/stop messages.

To get an affect like what you describe of scrolling text messages showing URL's
tested, try using the AssertionListener - it's one of the reasons I made it the
way it is. So that I can look at it instead of the command line.

I will look at both patches more and see what I can use in the src_1 branch, so
thanks!
