Hi Arindam, I'm sorry. But I cannot reproduce your problem. I can add and edit an assertion with the latest nightly build and also can save to a jmx-file.
Maybe you could describe your problem in more detail. Since I'm not sure wether it's a bug it could also be helpful to post your question to the jmeter-user-list (but again: explain your problem in more detail so that your problems can be reproduced).
