Hi.
I've already exposed this idea before, but I received no comments
(neither positive or negative), so I'm re-raising the issue -- now that
I've awaken some people with my "Is this project still in progress?"
message :-)
While looking for a solution to bug#14533 ("Can't use ${vars} in
SOAP/XML request URL"), I thought it may be interesting, now that the
${variable} concept has proven so successful, to change the HttpSampler
so that it uses a URL as a single string instead of the current 4
component bits (protocol+domain+port+path).
This would fix this bug#14533 as well as bug#12161 ("more Http Defaults
options") and bug#13948 ("HTTP Request does not inherit from Port Number
in HTTP Request Default"). Actually, it would probably make the whole
Http Defaults config. element obsolete.
I'm ready to do the implementation work, but I'd like to hear your
opinions first.
Salut,
Jordi.
