http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21563 Memory resource not being cleared ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-07-15 16:29 ------- Mike: Don't trust the process memory usage as a measure of Java memory usage -- the interaction between Java GC and O.S.-level memory allocation is too complicated. Rather, use the -verbose:gc flag on the JVM to get info on what the GC is doing. The only 'repeatable' measurement is the memory in use after GC (the figure after the '->'). Kenny: can you please clarify what you mean by "commit charge"? (It's new term to me). Also what do you mean by "do another search"? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
