Painfully slow proxy server recording

Thanks for the rapid response Sebb,

I considered the same things. I was originally testing from Toronto against
application servers located in DeMoins Iowa. I tried installing Jmeter on a
component server within the DeMoins firewalls and going against the AppServers
down there. Samething. Finally I tried running a BEA Weblogic Server on
localhost on my laptop. Same responses. 1-2 second responses without the
proxy, 4-6 minutes with the proxy.

I have a Symantec Desktop Firewall installed, but it is currently "Disabled".
Our applications actually fail with the firewall "enabled", so I can tell when
it is active and not.
