Have you done an 'ant clean' and then tried re-building? I build on

I've done that - with no change in results of course. 1.4.1 (1.4.1_02-b06) and 1.3.1 (1.3.1_15-b01) do not compile (that's true for linux at least) though all works fine with jdk1.4.2 and jdk1.5!
There are also some 1.3 issues (methods replaceAll and split are only part of Strings interface since version 1.4).
1.3. issues are in the classes org.apache.jorphan.util.Converter and org.apache.jorphan.collections.ConfigurationTree.
