Does it have a way to do a basic authentication, when this dialog pops up asking for user id and password?

How to use it with some examples. I just downloaded JMeter for the first time today, and found the online user manual to be quite sufficient. I had a test plan put together and was running it against some of my servers within about twenty minutes of opening the manual. It took me another half hour or so of playing with settings (okay, I also made one small change in the source and recompiled it, but I had pretty specific needs) to get it doing just what I wanted. If you haven't found the manual, it's here: http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/index.html Part of the manual walks you through the setup of an HTTP-based test plan that checks some of Jakarta's own web pages step-by-step. There are also sample test files provided in the "bin/testfiles" subdirectory of the installation that you can load up into JMeter and study. -- Bill::Kocik AOL::Search Operations o/~ "Haven't you heard?
