I took out the Aggregate Reporter, and 50 threads worked MUCH better.  Now to try 100, 
maybe more.

Since the HTTP samples were recorded using JMeter as a proxy, I did check and it 
appears that it is only set to encode the (VERY few) that actually need it.

In which case, don't require JMeter to encode the parameters that don't need it.

As far as problems with remote testing, all I can say is that, on Windows2000, 
jdk1.4.0, it works for me.  I won't deny that the classpath issues can be tricky, 
however.
