When you record a script in this manner the delays between the clicks are
not recorded.  This means that when you up the thread count to 50 you are
starting 50 threads running as fast as the responses are coming back (and
hence the machine running jmeter will be very busy).  It might be
interesting to add a delay to the script and to see how it goes (you should
be able to run more threads, but the tests will take longer to execute).

Note that when I was initially running my tests without any delays I
encountered all sorts of problems that simply did not occur when delays were
included.

I doubt if this will have any impact on memory use though.
