Can I assume then you have some sort of session id or cookie from that point on since you dont continue to pass the user id and password?
* If you are using cookies - do you have a cookie manager?
* Also check to ensure that you have 'Follow Redirects' on.

My suggestions are:
1) Access the screens manually with your browser making note of the URLs and page content
2) Attach 'View Results Tree' listeners to each of the HTTP samplers and run your test.
3) Make sure you experienced the redirects as expected and that you got Response codes of 302 for the redirect and 200 for the final page.
4) Compare the Request Data (URL and cookie data) with the URLs you noted in Point 1) above and ensure they are the same
5) Compare the Response Data (HTML page response) from the pages you noted above in point 1) and make sure you received pages

If everything above has worked as expected, then you'll need to be more specific about what isnt working. Otherwise this investigative process should lead you to the source of the issue.

Good luck.

Craig.

Hi!Craig,
Thanks for timely response.

Actually my test web application executes in the
following way:

1.First index servlet will be accessed.

2.Here userid and password will be given as parameter.

3.Next it will be redirected to homeredirect servlet.

4.i am using database for userid verification.

while i am executing the above test, the user id and
password are not used in homeredirect servlet.

Moreover ther is no problem in jmeter log file.
If u need more description just let me know.

lalit

Can you describe these problems? Is there anything
in the jmeter.log file? Have you added tree results
listener to the http samplers to see what is
happening? What http response codes are you getting?

BTW - do you really need to use the HTML Link
Parser? If the userid and password dont change, then
is there really a need to parse it?

Craig

Subject: Html Link Parser
Hi! All,
I am trying to use HTML Link Parser for testing my
application,but i am getting problems.
My test plan consist of following elements:

1.simple controller
2.Http sampler
3.Html Link Parser
4.second http sampler

I am adding 2 paremeters(userid and password)in
first
http sampler.
I want to use those 2 parameters in the 2nd http
sampler.
for this purpose i have added simple controller and
html link parser.

But still problem occurs while executing the test.
Can any body help in finding the problem?
