I hope your at least going to throttle the requests of those 10000 users. You'll be hard pressed to find a system that requires a test like this. Measure the scalability of your app first. Then take a true look at how many people will be using it and then look at HOW they will be using it (where theyre going, for how long, etc.). Buy a box based on that. Then scale up if needed. Don't buy more than you need.
