I've noticed that JMeter often doesn't add the extension to the file (under Win2k), so if you named your test plan file "MyTestPlan" thinking that the ".jmx" will be added, it might not. Therefore, when you go to open it, it won't find the file. Using a file manager, locate the file and make sure it has the correct extension.
