Hi,
No they are not. But if you don\'t put them you wont be
Able to check if you got the proper response or not...
So, if u r checking a response for page x, you should write an assertion
That checks some data that is in page x , otherwise your test might to
wrong
And go to page y and still give you a success

        marco

Hello Marco,

Yes I have checked the path is correct. It tends to default back to the
LoginPage all the time for any page other than the LoginPage. I also
tried running with Login Config Defaults as well....... The result is
the same.
About assertions, are they mandatory?

Best Regards,
Sudhi

Hello,
If u havent put any assertions, the result will be ok no matter
What is the response...

For antotherapplicationpage, check if the path is correct (request
defaults plus the path of your applicationhomepage)

        marco

Subject: Jmeter newbie having logging problems...

Hello there,

I have recently started using Jmeter 2.0.0. I have set up a Thread
Group as follows:-

HTTP Authorisation Manager (valid username and password)
HTTP Request Defaults
HTML Link Parser
Simple Controller
        - LoginPage
        -ApplicationHomePage
AnotherApplicationPage
..........and so on.....

When I run Jmeter, it does find the login page OK, then cannot find the
ApplicationHomePage. Says the Page has moved temporarily. Then again it
cannot find the AnotherApplicationPage and gets redirected to the
LoginPage. The response says it result was OK. That is dubious as it
has found the LoginPage and not the AnotherApplicationPage.

What else to be done to get it into the ApplicationHomePage? Kindly let
me know.

Regards,
Sudhi
