Are you saying that if I record a script using the JMeter proxy that
wouldn't be sufficient?  I'm trying to determine a baseline numbers for
stress testing the web and DB server.

you're going to have to create a series of requests that reflect what
the applet would do. remember that Jmeter is a stress testing tool
primarily with some function testing features.

if you want a functional test for an applet, I would suggest using
some other tool.
