Subject: Survey
I would like to ask the users of JMeter if anyone uses JMeter to run
automated tests. If you do, how do you structure your directories and
files?
Would do people imagine using a reporting tool? If you do use jmeter
for automated tests, can take a minute to answer these questions.
1. how often do you run the automated tests?
Whenever the code that we're testing changes
2. how do you structure the files?
At the moment we place all the jmx files in a single test
directory. We use ant to run jMeter from the command line and instruct
jMeter where to find the test files.
3. do you use a naming convention for the directories and files?
Not really.
4. how many test plans do you run?
At the moment 4 test plans.
5. which listeners do you use to save the results
Assertion results listener. Our assertions are normally
beanshell scripts
6. what kinds of charts and graphs do you want?
I use an XSL stylesheet that I got from somewhere (I'll try to
figure out exactly where if you want). The stylesheet transforms the
jtl jMeter output into a fairly comprehensive web report.
Includes success/failure and time for each test.
thanks in advance.
