When I tried to upgrade to Jmeter 2.1 from version 2.0.3, I discovered
that none of my scripts worked properly because variables don't get
referenced properly if they are located in the "Name" field of an HTTP
Sampler. They remain as "${variableName}". I utilize variables in this
field to make my script results self-documenting. I also often execute
javascript there to create timestamps that are used to create the unique
email addresses that are required for test user registration on my site.
This stuff has always worked properly in 2.0.3, so my assumption is that
Jmeter 2.1 has a defect that is causing these problems with variable
references and javascript execution in this field. However, it could be
possible that some property has changed between 2.0.3 and 2.1 that is
causing this issue. Does anyone know if there is anything that I might
try to see if I can get this working with version 2.1?
