Can you please elaborate on the second alternative you mentioned.
I tried using the Troughput Controller but it did'nt work as expected.
How does it work exactly and how can I use the Beanshell Server to
achieve that.

You can set up a large ramp-up time, so that the number of active
threads increases over time.

Or you can use the throughput controller with a variable throughput,
and use the BeanShell server to change this at run-time.

However, neither is exactly what you want.
