I'm using Linux (CentOS 4.2). There's no output to the screen when I start
jmeter-server, however the jmeter.log from the jmeter-server clients is as
follows:
2006/02/16 12:25:52 INFO - jmeter.util.JMeterUtils: Setting Locale to en_GB
2006/02/16 12:25:53 INFO - jmeter.JMeter: Version 2.1.1
2006/02/16 12:25:53 INFO - jmeter.JMeter: java.version=1.4.2_05
2006/02/16 12:25:53 INFO - jmeter.JMeter: Locale=English (United Kingdom)
2006/02/16 12:25:53 INFO - jmeter.JMeter: Copyright (c) 1998-2005 The Apache
Software Foundation
2006/02/16 12:25:53 INFO - jmeter.engine.RemoteJMeterEngineImpl: Starting
backing engine on 1099
2006/02/16 12:25:53 INFO - jmeter.engine.RemoteJMeterEngineImpl: Bound to
registry on port 1099

So it looks like the RMIRegistry is starting correctly, right?

Quoting Bill Gosse <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

If this is windows make sure that your rmiregistry.exe being started
when you start your remote jmeter server? This program needs to be in
the path of your remote machine. This app is located in the bin
directory of your JRE. I my case I just hard coded the path to it in my
jmeter_server.bat. Look for the START rmiregistry entry in the file.
