Is it a problem that I can find the first part of the code (<a class="wpsToolBarLink" href='/wps/myportal/) more than 1times? The last part(' onmouseover="hl(marker,'hps_logout')") is unique and that is important - right? The html code uses single quotes to define the path - how much quotes do I need to define in JMeter(look at my example!) I wanted to get a part of the path or the whole link. So I tried again and again but nothing works. One of my Regular Expressions for Exapmple: <a class="wpsToolBarLink" href='/wps/myportal/'(.+?)' onmouseover="hl(marker,'hps_logout')"
Remove the ' before (.+?) - it is not present in the data, so it's not needed in the RE. You could use just: href='/wps/myportal/(.+?)' onmouseover="hl(marker,'hps_logout')"
But nothing really works! When I try to execute I can see that the request is always going against the default variable. Seems to mee that JMeter can't extract the variable.
Of course it can, but the RE has to be correct.
