Well, there is a Mail Reader Sampler in the current Jmeter. I haven't
tried it since I am using an older version of Jmeter.
But I would start with the Mail Reader Sampler, a Graph Results and a
Mailer Visualiser (which I do not have in the version I use either).
This should set you up for contacting your mail server and viewing
returned emails. Then you see where to go from there.
