In fact JMeter includes the query string in the match, and it also
includes the port number after the domain. The code has been like this
since very early on (before my time).

So the documentation _should_ say that the RE will be tested against the string

"jakarta.apache.org:80/jmeter/index.html?username=xxxx"

I don't know why this was apparently never reported before ...

I don't think it would be sensible to drop the query string from the
comparison, because users may wish to match against that.

It seems less useful to insist on providing the port even if it is the
default port.

I'll make sure the documentation is updated for the next release.
