okay, I am not much convinced actually. this is because I am using the load tests to determine maximun number of concurrent users our website can have. I used different tools to do this , like apachebench, openload and JMeter.
For some links which are either processing/data sensitive , i get the same results with all of these tools. All tell me that at a certain point i start getting HTTP status code 500 i.e. Internal Server Error. But for pages like home page, where the content does not change much and no processing whatsoever, JMeter shows the errors ( "Non HTTP response message: Connection timed out: connect" ) after starting more than @ 1500 number of threads, where as comand line openload does not show any errors even after 6000... So I am concerned that the result JMeter shows is not due to the webserver being tested , and the results may be mis leading, has anyone observed something like this? is there some kind of default timeout for the server set in JMeter, is there a way to change it if thats the case? Thanks for being patient! dhanashri sebb <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: The error is: Connection timed out: connect which is probably a server error.
