JMeter was originally developed for HTTP(S), but can also now talk to other servers using FTP, JMS, JDBC etc. Additional protocols can be added without needing to rebuild JMeter. We did this for testing an in-house protocol. Only the sampler needed to be written; JMeter provides the rest of the framework. > Anyone know of any pitfalls that I should look > out for?
