User Parameters allow you to define different values for each thread
using the same variable - using the 'add user' button.
It can also be done using incrementing values or referencing the thread
number. I did this with a user parameter with the 'update once per
iteration' checkbox enabled at the start of my thread group which simply
defined a variable named 'counter' and defined it to be ${__threadNum}
Then in your test, using your example text, reference 'Dave Test
${counter}'
Thread 1 will use 'Dave Test 1' Thread 2 will use 'Dave Test 2' etc

Subject: Incrementing Data within Jmeter
Hi
Just started using Jmeter to load test an application form, I've
recorded the script I want to run to test it, my only problem is, is
that no matter how many virtual users I run, they will be running with
the same data imputed initially.
Does anyone know if there is any way to increment data to replicate
different users?
Eg.
Virtual user 1
Name: Dave Test 1
Virtual user 2
Name: Dave Test 2
Any ideas?
Thanks
