That's what listeners are for: http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/listeners.html
Add the View Results Tree Listener: http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/component_reference.html#View_Results_Tree and perhaps a Save Responses to File: http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/component_reference.html#Save_Responses_to_a_file which makes it easier to check what's in each response.
