Thank you very much for your response.

I would like to ask that can I record the web application without changing the 
browser setting to localhost. Suppose the IP address of my proxy server is 'Y'. 
So every time I need to change the browser setting as localhost and pass the 
proxy server address in command line argument which I do not want. Means can 
jmeter directly listen to proxy server ignoring localhost.

It's not possible to record https.

You'll have to add that stage later, or use some other means of
capturing the samples, e.g. a browser add-on or Badboy.

Are you saying that you need to use a proxy to access external sites?
