As Adrian says, you don't change the browser URL.

You just need to change the browser proxy to point to the JMeter proxy.

As I wrote before, what happens if you change the browser proxy, but
you don't start the JMeter proxy?

If th browser still works OK, then it is not using the proxy (or there
is already a proxy on 9090, but then the JMeter proxy would not start,
and you have not reported that as a problem).

Double-check all the browser proxy settings. Try using a different browser.
