I'm using ubuntu 9.10 and jmeter installed just fine.
Only problem I had with it was that it was missing some samplers (BSF and
Beanshell samplers).
There were some others missing as well but they weren't really important.. I
just downloaded the full binary package from the jmeter site and it had
those samplers.
