Try ${__P(obj.id)}
I created a global.properties with in it: obj.id=Test123
In the command line I added -qglobal.properties
And in a debug sampler I added ${__P(obj.id)}
I ran the test locally with the command line and in the results of the debug
sampler I saw Test123
