Yes, a clipboard system would be very nice indeed... A clipboard system in general can hold data in more than one format... at least the Java clipboard can, as well as the general windows platform can... so that the receiving program can pick a format it likes... And Word probably would prefer GIF over JME file format :) The next step would be drag and drop, which is easy in Java once copy/paste is working... I've been trying to set this up for JChemPaint (jchempaint.sf.net), but have not been succesful yet... would be cool to copy/paste molecular info from Jmol to JCP while the latter creates 2D coordinates on the fly ...
