I think that would be great. My only concern is that many of the existing web pages are already out of date. Therefore, I worry about you making French versions that are based upon outdated pages. > My first idea was to create index_fr.xml files in the same folders as the > index.xml files. > Then generating index_fr.html files in the same folders as the index.html > files. > But for this to work, I would have to add index_fr.html in all the > references of the french version. > Is this a problem ? > > Or is there a better solution ? > Like generating evereything in fr subfolder ? > But then the html files won't be with all the others files > > Other solution ? I am still trying to learn how the xml translation process works. The structure of the Jmol web site was put in place at least 2 years ago, before I became involved. I think that I would like to see different subdirectories on the web server for different languages: www.jmol.org/en www.jmol.org/fr www.jmol.org/es www.jmol.org/de The xml/xsl translation system probably can help us generate this, but I still do not understand how it works.
